The Hotels that provide Edward Carter's The Best of BKK for their Guests

These days, travel is hard work — security, schedules, and budgets are tight.

Most new visitors can only afford to stay in Bangkok for a few days.

A lousy meal, a wild-goose-chase to a shop that’s closed, a sight-seeing trip that turned out to be a rip-off — all these can ruin a holiday.

While the people at your hotel’s front desk try to do their best, there is often a comprehension problem, and, not being visitors, they probably haven’t personally experienced the places they recommend.

Whom can you trust?

Well, a number of carefully chosen hotels in Bangkok are introducing a new service to coddle their guests. Called Edward Carter's The Best of BKK, it consists of a box with 54 mini compartments holding Introduction Cards for each of my favorite Places to Eat, Places to Shop, Coolest Entertainment & Traditional Arts, and Important Services.

Any guidebook can give you the ‘obvious bests,’ but I live in Bangkok and the places you find in the box are my hand-picked favorites that I frequent all the time. (This is not an advertising gimmick and no place can buy its way onto my list of personal favorites.)

So when you are choosing an hotel for your visit, be sure it has Edward Carter’s The Best of BKK in the lobby. Then you know you’re safe!

Here are the hotels that will soon have the box. The descriptions have been provided by the hotels (click on the name to see the details):
